Back to School Tips for Your Vehicle

As you get ready to head back to college this fall, it's time to give your car a little attention. If a warning light has been lit on your dashboard all summer, get the light checked out before you head back to school. If you aren't sure what maintenance is needed, look over your owner's manual.

Take the time to have your tires inspected and get your oil changed. If new tires are recommended, get them now before you are out on the road. Get yourself organized and learn how to change a flat tire if you don't know how to.

In the trunk of your car, keep your spare tire, a jack, flashlight, batteries and a shovel to help yourself in an emergency. Keep your car in good shape by getting the maintenance it needs. If you hear strange noises, get your car serviced before you take a long drive to school.
